There is a song from Long Iman that I learnt, it went:

Jaa-aa-wah bool-lep-esso
kal-ay pay reh tongtana aamee

Jaa aawah tuan mo-koh-aa Bruno
aamee

Lakei tuaan Lakei tuaan
Lakei tuaan jiaan muun
Lakei tuaan Lakei tuaan
Lakei tuaan Bruno...

I met old man Tuo Penjamin... He remembered the war with the Japanese. He said "Tuan... the Japanese they've come back.." (or something to that equivalent because he was talking through an interpreter). And giant Japanese and Chinese logging ships were anchored off Miri. Very Sad business that. I have not forgotten my Penan friends and their tongtana!! Special people and places in Penan lands.
